Appointments Appointments may be made by telephone during the above Surgery Hours, or by calling into the rooms during that time. Semi-urgent appointments are available each day, and emergencies are dealt with as they arise.

The normal appointment times are for a 15 minute consultation, but we encourage patients with complex or multiple medical problems to book a 30 minute consultation. We attempt to keep to appointment times, but unforeseen problems and emergencies often disrupt punctuality. If you wish to phone the surgery before your appointment time, the receptionist can estimate the delay if doctor is running late. The doctors at this practice are on call for urgent attendance at local hospitals and delays are unavoidable.

After Hours Services Contact or attend the Accident and Emergency Department at Young District Hospital on (02) 6382 1222. A Registered Nurse is available to give advice and will contact the Duty Doctor as required. In an emergency call the Ambulance on 000.

After hours Home visits are only made by contacting the duty doctor via Young District Hospital as above. As delays may occur it is recommmended that you attend the A ccident and Emergency Department as above. Home Visit fees are charged at the applicable AMA rate.

Telephoning Your Doctor Each of the doctors will take telephone calls regarding personal medical problems. He/she cannot be interrupted during consulting times unless the problem is very urgent. The receptionist will indicate the best time to contact an individual doctor, or indicate when the doctor will call you back if appropriate or between consultations..

Out Of Surgery Visits Non urgent House calls may be available to patients if their regular GP is available. Please discuss your needs with our receptionist during Office Hours. After hours OR in an emergency it would be best to telephone the ambulance on 000 or attend the Accident and Emergency Department at Young District Hospital - telephone 6382 1222. We visit Young Retirement Village and Mt St Josephs Nursing Home.

Repeat Prescriptions We recommend you attend your regular General Practioner for all prescriptions so the doctor can review your medical requirements.

As a service to people, prescriptions may be requested for repeat medications at the descetion of the doctor. Please allow at least 24 hours before collecting the prescription. A service fee of $4 is charged for this service.
