Fees

This is a non bulk billing practice. Fees are set by the individual doctor.

We do not bulk bill, but Pensioners are charged at the applicable Medicare rebate rate with a gap fee of about $3.50.

Health Care Card holders are charged at the applicable Medicare rebate rate with a gap fee of about $9.50.

Veterans’ Affairs patients may use their entitlement cards at the time of consultation for completion of DVA treatment vouchers.

We ask that all accounts be settled at the time of consultation with cash, personal cheque or credit card. We have EFTPOS facilities that accept Bankcard, Mastercard or Visa cards. If not payed at the time of attendance an account fee will be charged.

Any patients who are experiencing financial difficulty in paying are encouraged to discuss it with the treating doctor.

Fees are guided by recommendations from the Australian Medical Association. There may be gap above the Government Medical Benefits Schedule and the Medical Benefit Rebate level which is set by the Federal Government.

Most consultations (Level B Consultations) are charged at about $40.00 - the rebate from Medicare is $22.50.

Longer consultations (Level C Consultations) are charged at about $73.00 - the rebate from Medicare is $40.60.

Very long and often complex consultations (Level D Consultations) are charged at about $106.00 - the rebate from Medicare is $59.80.
