SKIN CHECKS / MINOR SKIN OPERATIONS

We recommend you make a dedicated appointment for a regular Skin check - If you include this with a consultation for other matters too, then ask Reception for a long appointment.

Our Doctors are available for regular Skin checks and in our up to date, well equipped Treatment room we are able to diagnose and treat most Skin cancers and other related Skin lesions using Cryotherapy, Diathermy, surgical excisions and topical treatments.

Asthma Management

Asthma Action Plans are essential for the Chronic sufferer of Asthma.  Our Doctors can prepare a plan for the purpose of identifying the signs that trigger how you manage your health as part of good Chronic Disease Management.  The aim of this is to educate you to be aware of the early signs, action to be taken in the early stages to prevent acute episodes.  You should allow for a longer appointment to discuss this and have the Plan created for you.

Diabetes Management

The Doctor will assess your needs through a GP management plan, which is a big part of Chronic Disease Management.  The Doctor is often assisted in this by our Community Nurse, and this aims to guide you to access Enhanced Primary Care services such as physio and podiatry should you have a need.  You should allow for a longer appointment to discuss this and have the Plan created for you.

ECG

Our treatment room can facilitate ECG testing.

Family Planning Advice

  • Contraception advice
  • Mirena / Implanon insertions

To discuss Mirena and Implanon, you will need to make an appointment with your Doctor to assess if these options are suitable for your situation.  If your assessment results show that you are a suitable candidate, an insertion appointment will be made for implanon, or for Mirena (IUD) an appointment made with Dr Spina for further discussion regarding suitability.

Dr Alba Spina is our Specialist Mirena Practitioner.
