FRACP MB BS (Sydney)

Qualified in Medicine in 1968 as doctor and trained as physician at RPAH Camperdown while holding position of Founding Registrar in Clinical Biochemistry and Pharmacology, worked in several parts of Asia with Save the Children and International Red Cross doing maternal and child health then trained in Psychiatry in UK.

Elected Fellow of Royal Australian College of Physicians in 1975 and declared lifetime Fellow in 2013.

Australian born of Australian parents, was married in London and the couple on return to Australia was accompanied by first two children.  Finished up with three boys and three girls all brilliant and beautiful like their mother.

Special Interests

In medical matters, particularly interested in the depressive and anxiety conditions so prevalent here.Firmly believe that most mental and emotional suffering has physical, social and life-history contributions which all need addressing in treatment towards recovery.
Well familiar with all the branches of anti-psychiatry, still holds fast to the use of appropriate psychotropic medications as well as counselling and life-style change in treatment.

Also interested in patients who suffer and no tests have revealed the cause.  Convinced that there are ways to assist them to live more comfortable and peaceful lives.
