Fees
Most consultations on referral from G.P\'s are partly covered by Medicare. Comprehensive initial assessment may lead to out of pocket expenses of $42.
Subsequent visits to continence nurse or physiotherapist are billed at $30 each.
Investigations such as pelvic ultrasound or urodynamics are partly covered by Medicare but leave an out of pocket expense of up to $80 to cover cost of disposable items.
Surgery where necessary is completely covered for hospital and surgeon by Private Health insurance with no out of pocket expense. Patients without private health insurance can finance surgery over 6-24 months through Health Assist.
All accounts should be settled at the time of consultation with cash, personal cheque or credit card. Eftpos facilities are available that accept Bankcard, Mastercard or Visa Cards.
In regard to other gynaecological matters the fee for initial consultation is $98 and for each subsequent consultation the fee is $55. Medicare will refund $55.95 for the first visit and $28.05 for each subsequent consultation.
Obstetric fees differ slightly to the above fees and this information is given in writing after the initial consultation or available on request.
