Appointments 

Please ring 8664 1078 for an appointment.  Every effort will be made to accommodate your preferred time. 

Emergencies will always be given priority and our reception staff will attempt to contact you if there is any unforeseen delay or your Doctor has been called away. 

Please let staff know if a long consult is required i.e. medical, diabetes review etc.

Fees and Billing Arrangements

Non Pensioners:  The Jamestown Medical Centre does not bulk bill non pensioners except in extreme circumstances.  Fees are charged according to the time taken and the complexity of the problem.  There is a table of some of the basic fees displayed at the front desk.  Please feel free to ask reception staff about relevant fees.

  • Full Payment is required on the day.  You Can pay by cash, cheque, or eftpos.  Once you have paid in full if you have an eftpos card linked to a savings or cheque account, we can have the medicare rebate transferred straight back into that account.  Alternatively we can complete the medicare paperwork and you can receive a cheque in the mail.
  • If difficulty in making payments is experienced, please contact reception staff who will be happy to discuss suitable arrangements.
  • EFTPOS is now available

Pensioners/Veteran Affairs:  Pensioners are bulk billed.  Veterans may sign the service voucher

Hospital Outpatients:  is run as an extension of this practice - all patients seen at Outpatients will be charged as a Private Patient.
