Policy

Vaccines: You are able to purchase some vaccines from the surgery.  Should you bring a privately purchased vaccine into the practice, please hand this vaccine to reception on arrival

Phone Calls/Electronic Communication:  You can contact doctors at this practice by telephoning during normal surgery hours, or email the practice at sbriscoe@emfmp.com.au

Getting results of any test or procedure:  Your doctor will advise when they expect the results to arrive at the practice.  Call the practice to find out your results and ask what they mean for your care.

Reminder Systems:  Our practice is committed to preventative care.  Your doctor will seek your permission to be included in local, state and national reminder systems.  We may issue you with a reminder notice from time to time offering you preventative health services appropriate to your care.  If you do not wish to be part of this system, please let your doctor or reception know.

Management of your Personal Health Information: Your medical record is a confidential document.  It is the policy of this practice to maintain security of personal health information at all times and to ensure that this information is only available to authorised members of staff.  We abide by the ten National Privacy Principles available at www.privacy.gov.au/health/index.html.

Smoking Policy:  The practice has a no smoking policy.

If the need arises where you need to contact your GP but do not need a consultation, please contact the reception staff to discuss.

Please remember this does not replace seeing the doctor for a consultation

At the time of booking, please inform reception staff if you wish to have a standard conusultation or if you need to book for a long consultation. A long consultation is generally required when you 2-3 or more items to discuss with your doctor.

No appointment is required for Saturday mornings.
