TELEPHONE MESSAGES


All messages will be taken by the reception staff and relayed to the doctor concerned. Unless urgent, your doctor will return your call as soon as practicable. Due to the privacy laws, it is the practice policy not to give 'pathology / xray results over the telephone. Patients are asked to make an appointment to follow up any results.


REFERRALS / SICK CERTIFICATES / PRESCRIPTIONS


Patients are advised that they will need to make an appointment with the doctor to receive referral letters, sick certificates, or ongoing prescriptions. Doctors are not able to provide these without doctor-patient contact. Certificates cannot be backdated.


STERILISATION OF INSTRUMENTS


All instruments used within the centre have been fully autoclaved before and after use.

PRIVACY


All patient personal information is handled in accordance with this practice's privacy policy and consistent with the privacy legislation. All information is confidential and any staff member or doctor is not allowed to discuss the information with anyone except healthcare providers involved in your care. Please do not hesitate to discuss any concerns, questions or complaints about any issues related to the privacy of your personal information with your doctor.
