Mission statement

Our Mission is to provide the highest standard of whole patient care. This Practice is committed to promoting wellbeing, health and illness prevention to patients, their families and our community.

Telephone policy

There may be occasions when you wish to speak to a doctor during the day; this may not always be convenient. Priority will be given to urgent calls. Staff will take your details and ask the doctor to return your call at the earliest opportunity. Doctors endeavor to return all phone calls before the end of the day.

 

Patient Feedback

The Robinson Street Medical Centre is committed to providing a high standard of comprehensive care to all patients.  If you are unhappy about any aspect of your care, please discuss this with your doctor or with the office staff.  If possible, we will try to resolve the problem to your satisfaction.

 

Smoking Policy

The Robinson Street Medical Centre implements a smoke free environment policy.

Repeat Prescriptions

Request for repeat prescriptions can only be accepted if patients have been reviewed by our doctors in the last three to six months.  Doctors have a responsibility to ensure that your medication is appropriate for your condition and regular monitoring is important to ensure this.  A fee of $13.00 is paid with each prescription request.

 

Medical Records Policy

Your doctor will do his or her best to make sure that your medical records:

  • Are accurate, comprehensive, well - organised and legible
  • Are up to date,
  • Have enough information to allow another doctor to care for you,
  • Do not contain offensive or irrelevant comments about you,
  • Contain a summary of your care, and
  • Can be used to remind you, with your permission, to return for follow up, check ups and immunisztion.

 

Medical Test Results Policy

If you are telephoning for medical test results please always telephone in person.  You can organise, by written consent, for another person to obtain these results on your behalf, but no results will be give to an unauthorised person.

All results are checked by your doctor and comments are noted for our staff to inform you.  No results will be released until your doctor has checked them.
