CONTINUITY OF CARE:

Where possible it is best to see your regular doctor, however be assured that all our doctors keep comphrehensive notes and discuss patients with each other where necessary, to ensure continuity of your care.

YOUR PRIVACY: Your medical record is a confidential document. It is the policy of this practice to maintain security of personal health information at all times and to ensure that this information is only available to authorised members of staff.

PRESCRIPTIONS: It is a policy of this practice for reasons of patient safety, that patients attend a surgery appointment for all prescriptions.

REFERRALS: Referrals are a request by your doctor for a specialist opinion, and require a prior appointment

REMINDER SYSTEM:Our practice is committed to preventative care. We may issue you with a reminder notice from time to time offering you preventative health services appropriate to your care. eg pap smears, BP checks,immunisations. If you do not wish to be part of this system please let your doctor or reception staff know.

 YOUR RIGHTS: If you have a problem we would like to hear about it. All complaints and suggestions are referred to Dr Kortlucke via our Practice Manager. However if you feel you need to discuss matters further there are options available including the Medical Registration Board, AMA or Health Quality and Complaints Commission (Tel: 3120-5999).

TELEPHONE POLICY:

If you wish to speak to Doctor please leave a message with the receptionist and Doctor will return your call as soon as possible. Return calls are normally made at the end of each session. If your concern requires urgent attention please notify the staff and they will put you straight through to Doctor. Patients wanting results are advised to make a further appointment.

Appointments

Our appointments are 15 minutes.

LONG APPOINTMENTS: If you require a long appointment please advise our receptionists when making your appointment. This is necessary for all medicals and if you are likely to need more than 20 minutes with your doctor.
