Policy

Privacy & Confidentiality

We maintain full confidentiality of our patient\'s medical records and as such it is the policy of the clinic not to release any informations over the phone. It is important that the doctor discuss the results of any investigations with the patient on a face to face basis, so that any questions can be addressed properly.

No Smoking Policy This practice adopts a \'NO SMOKING\' policy on the premises for the comfort and safety of other patients.

WorkCover Patient If you have recently suffered an injury at work and have not had your work related injury claim approved, you will be charged as a private patient and the consultation fee will be requested at the time of the consultation. Upon receipt of a bona fide claim number from your employer\'s insurer, then all future medical consultations relating to the injury will be directly billed to the insurer.

You must keep all receipts of your consultations so that you may claim your out of pocket medical expenses from your employer or the insurer.

Transport Accident Patient If you have recently been involved in a motor vehicle accident, you will be treated as a private patient until you have reached the TAC medical expenses threshold.

Upon receipt of a bona fide claim number from TAC we will then bill all your future medical consultations directly to the Transport Accident Commission.

Your Personal Information In order that we may contact you, please ensure that we have your current telephone number and address.

If you have a new or an updated Medicare Card, please present it to the receptionist so that it can be recorded for bulk billing purposes.

Please note that we cannot bulk bill patients with an invalid or expired Medicare Card.

An appointment is essential for each patient. We will however, endeavour to see patients without an appointment or in an emergency as soon as possible.

Please make an appointment for each member of the family who wishes to be seen.

If you require a longer consultation, please make it known to the receptionist so that an appropriate time may be made for you.

Government restrictions on the total daily number of patients seen means priority will be given to those who have an appointment.
