Policy

The primary aim of the doctors and staff at Playne Street Mediclinic is to provide:-

  • The best medical care for our patients incorporating the best practice principles, the most up to date knowledge and using the most advanced technologies available

 

  • The best service for our patients through provision of the most comprehensive awareness of individual health and social requirements, respect for the patients as people and confidentiality for any information gained.

 

  • The best working conditions for both doctors and staff through mutual respect and awareness, irrespective of personal and social requirements.

Privacy Information

Patients have the right to access their personal health information under the privacy legislation.  As part of the Privacy Act, it is our intention to provide the highest level of privacy and confidentiality to both patients and staff. 

Information for patients on privacy and their rights is available in the waiting room and upon request. 

Your Medical record is a confidential document. It is the policy of the practice to maintain security of personal health information at all times and to ensure that this information is only available to authorised members of staff. We abide by the ten National Privacy Principles available at:

Appointments

It is not necessary to make an appointment in our clinic. Our policy is generally first come first served and our waiting time is usually less than 30 minutes.

However, we can make appointments if required, although we cannot guarantee to see you exactly at the appointed time. This implies that there maybe a waiting time of up to a maximum of 30 minutes, despite appointment.
