Ms Rhona Barker

Rhona graduated from James Cook University in 1998 with a 4 year Bachelor of Psychology degree. She is an Associate member of the Australian Psychology Society. Rhona is registered with Medicare and ATAPS through both Western Sydney and Northern Sydney Medicare Locals.

In 2004, following some time working with troubled youth, Rhona began counselling women who had experienced a traumatic birth. Since then her primary interest has been helping families work through issues during pregnancy, childbirth and early parenting. In 2009 Rhona started her own practice in Wahroonga and in 2012 began working in a secondary location at PBB Health Centre in North Parramatta.

Rhona engages in general counselling and uses techniques from both cognitive behaviour therapy and mindfulness. Rhona regularly engages in professional development with a focus on perinatal and infant psychology.
