Policies and Appointments

Policy

Appointments Appointments should be made prior to attending the clinic where possible.

Home Visits Routine home visits will generally be performed by the doctor for those patients who are disabled or too ill to travel to the surgery. They should be arranged prior to 10.30 am where possible. Urgent home visits for our regular patients will be performed at the discretion of the doctor. A private home visit fee will apply.

Test Results Misunderstandings may occur over the phone therefore patients are requested to make an appointment with their doctor to discuss test results.

Appointments

Appointments must be made during the day between the hours of 7am - 6pm Monday - Friday. We try very hard to maintain appointments and to keep the waiting time to a minimum. You can help us to run to time by advising the reception staff at the time of making the appointment if you require extra time. If you cannot attend an appointment we would appreciate you telephoning to cancel the appointment so that it can be made available to another patient. A fee of $22.00 (GST inc) will apply if an appointment is not cancelled.

Between the hours of 6pm - 10pm Monday - Friday, appointments are not necessary. Patients are seen on a first come first seen basis.

No appointments are necessary on weekends and public holidays.

Please note that emergencies will be seen immediately and will take priority over appointments.
