AFTER HOURS SERVICES When the surgery is closed, one of the doctors from our locum service is "on call" for urgent medical problems. They may contact your doctor to discuss your treatment if needed. Should you require medical attention after hours, please ring 137425 (13 SICK).

HOME VISITS If you are too sick to come to the surgery, we can visit you at home. Requests for home visits are best made before 10am. Visits can also be arranged for patients in nursing homes and at hospitals.

TELEPHONING YOUR DOCTOR The doctors will take phone calls relating to you or your family\'s health. If they are seeing patients when you call, they may need to call you back when they are free or at the end of their consulting session.

REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS Prescriptions for medicines taken regularly can be obtained without seeing the doctor if he/she has agreed to this. Requests can be made by letter, facsimile or in person at the surgery. Due to medico - legal considerations, requests made over the phone will not be accepted. Also, requests made by e-mail will not be accepted. It is helpful if we have at least 48 hours notice in which to deal with your request. E-mail requests will not be accepted.

DISABLED ACCESS There is ramp access at the front of the surgery.

PATIENT FEEDBACK From time to time this practice invites patients to complete a questionnaire on their views of the practice and how it could be improved. These surveys are completely confidential and help us improve our services. If you are unhappy with any aspect of the care you received from this practice, we are keen to know about it. Please feel free to talk to your doctor or the receptionist about any problems you have with the service that we provide. We believe that problems are best managed to mutual satisfaction in this way. However, you may prefer to contact the NSW Government centre for handling complaints. The address is: Health Care Complaints Commission Locked Mail Bag 18 Strawberry Hills NSW 2012 . Appointments

All surgery times are by appointment, except for weekends and public holidays. All emergencies will be seen, so advise the receptionist if you have an urgent medical problem that must be dealt with promptly. You can make an appointment with your doctor by telephoning the surgery. Appointments are normally made at 15 minute intervals, so you can usually expect 10 to 15 minutes with your doctor. However, if you notify the receptionist, additional time can be allocated for you. Unfortunately, delays are unavoidable on occasions. If you wish, you may phone the surgery before your appointment to check whether the surgery is running on time.
