Getting the results of any test or procedure

Your doctor will advise when they expect results to arrive at the practice. 

For your privacy and confidentiality, no medical information and results can be released over the phone by a receptionist. We advise you to make a followup appointment to receive your results.

Reminder System

Our practice is committed to preventative care. We may issue you with a reminder notice from time to time offering you preventative health services appropriate to your care. If you do not wish to be part of this system please let your doctor or receptionist know.

Management of your personal health information

Your medical record is a confidential document. It is the policy of this practice to maintain the security of personal health information at all times and to ensure that this information is only available to authorised members of staff. Your rights

If you have a problem we would like to hear about it. Please feel free to talk to your doctor or the receptionist. You may prefer to write to us. We take your concerns, suggestions and complaints seriously.

Telephone access

GPs in the practice may be contacted during normal opening hours. If the GP is with a patient, a message will be taken and the reception staff will advise you when it is likely that the GP will return your call. In an emergency your call will always be put through to a GP.

Telehealth appointments can be offered to patients who have attended the practice for a face to face consultation in the last 12months (with limited exeptions applying. Please discuss with reception if eligible for a bulk billed telehealth appointment).

For patients who have not been seen in the last 12 months, a non Medicare rebateable fee will apply. Please discuss with reception

There are certain limitations to what can be done over a telehealth appointment. New care plans cannot be done over the phone. We recommend a face to face assessment if you require a Dr for any examinations, or complex appointments.

 

Home and other visits

Home visits are available for regular patients of this practice whose condition prevents them from attending the surgery.

Private Billed appointments

Some Drs bill Privately on weekdays, and ALL Weekend appts are privately billed:

 

Dr Carl Bazergy -  FRIDAYS, except the CONC group

Dr Janaki Seermaran - WEDNESDAYS, PAPSMEARS, except the CONC group

Dr Dmitri Tcherkas - Except will bulk bill the CONC group

Dr Kit Fonseka - Except will bulk bill existing patients under 18year old or over 65 year old, and his regular patients.

Private fees:

Standard Consultation fees start from $80 (or $90 - Afterhours period), and reception can help with processing Medicare rebates and some Private Health Insurance funds (for Non-Medicare Card Holders). ** Additional 50c Fee applies to card payments**

After rebates:

$40-50 Gap for Normal patients

$20-25 Gap for Concession card holders, and children under 16years old (FOR WEEKENDS).

Appointments

Please ring 9587 9086 for an appointment. Every effort will be made to accommodate your preferred time and GP. Emergencies will always be given priority and our reception staff will attempt to contact you if there is any unforeseen delay or your GP has been called away. Longer consultation times are available, so please ask our receptionists if you require some extra time. If you or a family member require an interpreter service, we can organise this for your. Please let us know when you make the appointment.
