Weekend and holiday cover is shared with two other specialist obstetricians, 
Dr Chris Margin and Dr Siri Dutt.
During the week we deliver our own patients out of hours, and one weekend 
in three we are each on call.

Public patients are admitted under the \" Consultant  of the Day\" and are 
normally cared for by the full time hospital registrars or career medical officers 
or the hospital midwives.
There is always a Consultant on duty who will be called in if necessary.

Waiting Lists.


</b>

Our aim is to operate on patients as soon as possible.
At the John Flynn Hospital the patient can usually  pick their operating time 
within a week or two.
At the Tweed Heads Disrtict Hospital,  the NSW Health Department  
budgetary restrictions have limited operating time for some years and waiting 
times are a disgrace (up to two years).
