Policy

This practice is committed to provide comprehensive care to all patinets. The doctors are trained and experienced in the broad range of problems dealt with in general medical practice. We beleive your health is best managed by continuous care from the same source, rather than taking different problems to different places, but we will refer you for specialist opinions, investigations, and treatment when necessary. If you have any problems or quires, please do not hesitate to discuss the matter with the doctor.

MAKING APPOINTMENTS:

Consultation is by appointment, please call for an appointment; every effort will be made to accommodate your preferred time. Emergencies and urgent cases will always be given the first priority. Our receptionist staff will attempt to contact you if there is unforeseen delay, or if your doctor has been called away.

If you required some extra time with the doctor, please ask the receptionist when you make the appointment. If you are a family member requires an interpreter cervices, we can organise this for you, please let us know, when you book for the appointment.

CONTACTING YOUR DOCTOR:

Although most problems are best dealt with in consultation, a doctor will always be available during normal surgery hours for emergency advises. Our staffs are experienced in helping you decide whether the matter requires appointments, a return phone call from the practice, or urgent advice.

Practice does not receive email from patients, you may receive emails from the doctor

REMINDER SYSTEM:

Our practice is committed to preventive care; we may issue you with a computerised reminder notice from time to time, offering you preventive health services appropriate to your care, if you do not wish to be part of this system, please let us know.

YOUR RIGHTS:

If you have a problem, we would like to hear about it. Please feel free to talk to your doctor or the receptionist, however, if you wish to take the matter further, and feel that you need to discuss the matter outside the surgery, there are several options available, including

GETTING THE RESULT OF ANY TEST OR PROCEDURE:

Your doctor will advice when they expect results to arrive at the practice. Call your doctor to find out your result and ask what they mean for your care.

This practice is committed to maintaining the confidentiality of your personal health information. Your medical record is a confidential document. It is the policy of this practice to maintain security of personal health information at all times. The personal information we collect is Name, Address, Phone number, Date of Birth, Medicare number. The main purpose is providing health care for the patients. We must use this information for the purpose it was collected. We take every reasonable step to ensure that the information we collected is secure. Our staff signs Confidentiality Agreements outlining their obligation in this regards. Your medical information is strictly for doctor’s use only.
