PRACTICE POLICY The philosophy of this practice is to provide comprehensive and thoughtful medical care to individuals & families - quality care in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. We work hard to keep up-to-date with the latest medicale innovations and to bring you efficient personal service.

Home Visit Requests Please call the Ambulance on 000 for emergency assistance if you are unable to cope at home or access transport to obtain medical care.

AFTERHOURS & EMERGENCIES For all Afterhours and Emergency medical attention, please present to the Accident & Emergency Department at the Mildura Base Hospital or Call 000 for an ambulance.

PRESCRIPTIONS & REFERRALS Repeat scripts are not routinely able to be ordered by telephone. We must have at least SEVEN days notice for the prescriptions to be ready to pick up.

Dr Garner is competent at handling all the common health problems. When necessary, they are able to draw on opinion from Specialists, and if need be, refer you for further investigations. For all on-going referrals to be written, we must have SEVEN days notice for this to be ready for pick up.

TEST RESULTS & PHONE CALLS When telephoning for pathology or x-ray results, please give the receptionist these details: full name, what sort of test(s) results, where the test(s) was done & when the test(s) was done. Dr Garner will return these telephone calls at the end of the day.

Telephoning Dr Garner. Although most problems are best dealt with in consultation, Dr Garner will always be available during normal surgery hours for emergency advice. Our staff are experienced in helping you decide whether the matter requires appointment, a return phone call from the Doctor, or urgent advice.

Appointments

Consultations are by appointment. Urgent cases need to attend the Mildura Base Hospital, Accident & Emergency Department. Please nofity us if you are unable to attend an appointment. If more than one person from your family wishes to see the Dr Garner at the same time, please ensure a separate appointment is made for each family member. We offer longer appointment times for more complex health problems and more specialised procedures such as medicals, Women\'s Checks and counselling. Unfortunately we are currently unable to take any NEW patients due to our long waiting times for appointments.
