Policy

Referal

All patients require a referal if they want to claim from Medicare.and must bring it with them on the first visit Referals can be for 3 or 12 months, but are not accepted for an indefinite period. Patients with work related injuries covered by the Workers Compensation Insuarance Policy do not need a referal GST is charged on certificates for various institutions and to the legal profession

Reports

Medical Reports are sent to all the referring authorities unless requested otherwise by the patient. No information is given to any authority without the consent of the patient

Reminders

Patients with chronic conditions are sent a reminder by post to make an appiontment at the appropriate time

There is no referral to another specialist without consulting the referring medical practitioner first

There are loose associations with other ophthalmologists so that the patients of this practice can benefit from the expertise of the other ophthalmologists

Optometrists/Opticians

There are no commercial tie-ups with any optometrist/optician

Appointments

All patients are seen by appointment only ,except in an emergency

Surgery hours are from 8.30 a.m. to 4.30 pm Monday to Friday - closed for lunch between 1-2 p.m
No Wedneday surgery at Campbelltown - Wednesday morning 9.30 -12.30 at Liverpool rooms

All patients have to bring current Referral, their Medicare Card (and Pension or HCC if
applicable) on the initial visit
