Dr Rob Reid

Rob is a Sports Physician, and is one of the inaugural Fellows of the College of Sports Physicians. He has been pracising in Canberra since 1989, when he came here to fill a position at the Australian Institute of Sport. After two years there, he moved into full- time private practice in January 1991.

After working with Dr Howse for a few years, Canberra Sports Medicine was formed and the move to Deakin took place.

He has looked after many sports and sporting teams at the elite level - basketball, hockey, ice hockey, netball, and rugby union. He continues to look after rugby and is the Chief Medical Officer for the Rally of Canberra.

He has a particular interest in recreational athletes and active people with problems. All joint and muscle problems are dealt with, especially musculo-skeletal problems around the pelvis. He does not take new patients with workers compensation or motor vehicle accident problems.
