Practice Philosophy


 


At Beecroft Family Practice we aim to provide a level of care to our patients that adheres to the highest ethical and professional standards.

The doctors and staff work as a team committed to continuity of care in a holistic manner, upholding the core values of a traditional family caring practice.

We are a family friendly general practice that has been established for over 25 years.

Our experienced doctors understand that each person’s health needs are different. We are committed to promoting health, wellbeing, and disease prevention for all patients, and aim to treat all patients with dignity and respect.

 

Confidentiality

Beefcroft Family Practice ensures the confidentiality of all patients’ personal health information according to the RACGP Code of Practice for the management of Health Information in General Practice. Health information (including Pathology results) will not be given to relatives unless the patient has given consent (Not applicable to under 16 year olds).

 

Recall Systems

Our Practice is computerised and we have instituted a Recall System for some services.

-If more than two years have passed since your last pap smear, ladies, you will receive a reminder note to that effect. 

-Patients with Diabetes may also receive notice that their blood test is due.

-Patients who are due for their skin cancer checks ( through this surgery)  May receive a reminder closer to their due date.

If you do not wish to receive a reminder through this practice please let us know. 

We also participitate in the State/Territory reminder system-PAP smear reminders; Breast screen reminders and Bowel screen reminders

Complaints

Should you have any complaints about the quality of care or the treatment that you receive at the Practice from any members of the staff, please feel free to discuss the matter in the first instance with the practice manager (Anjli G). if we are not able to satisfactorily resolve the issue, you may wish to contact:

Appointments

General Appointments:

Please ring after 8.45am on 9484 4788 for an appointment. Every effort will be made to accommodate your preferred time and Practitioner.

Emergencies will always be given priority and our reception staff will attempt to contact you if there is any unforeseen delay or your GP has been called away.

Longer consultation times are available, so please ask our receptionists if you require some extra time For any of the following:

Complex medical or more than one medical concerns.

  • Cervical screening checks
  • Well woman or well men's checks
  • New patient
  • Health Assessments: 4 year old; 45 Yearl old; 75+ Health Assessments; Chronic Disease Health Assessments; mental health care plans
  • Insurance medicals; Driving medicals; Diving medicals.
  • Worker's compensation assessments
  • Surgical procedures

Please let us know when you make your appointment if you or a family member require an interpreter service, as we can organise this for you.
