We are a private billing practice. Children 15yrs and under, pensioners and valid Health care card holders will be bulk billed.
Consultations are $65.00 (higher fee for Saturdays and after hours). All patients will be privately billed on Saturdays regardless of concession status or age.
APPOINTMENTS
Appointments minimise waiting and allow the Doctor sufficient time to deal with your problem. If you think you may need a longer appointment, please arrange this with our reception staff or discuss this with your Doctor. Those with unexpected problems and no appointment will be dealt with as soon as possible. If necessary, we’re happy to see more than one family member. However, we do ask that you please book an appointment for each person. Please cancel your appointment if you can’t make it as this will free up your appointment for somebody else. Of course, emergencies will be attended to as soon as possible
HOME VISITS
If you or a member of the family are too ill to come to the surgery-please call the surgery so an ambulance can be arranged if necessary or a later home visit by your doctor.
AFTER HOURS
Please call our office number 43343222 to obtain the mobile phone number of the doctor on call. The provision of personal out of hours care seven days a week is available only to established patients of the practice. Please note that this service is not fully covered by Medicare and out of pocket expenses are incurred for all patients.
You may also choose to phone Gosford Hospital on 43202111. The hospital is located on Racecourse Rd, Gosford.
REPEAT PRESCRIPTION
Your doctor will generally dispense enough medication to last until you are next reviewed. When you require repeat medication please make an appointment with your doctor. If your own doctor is unavailable, another doctor may write a script for you if you make an appointment. If you request a script over the phone and the doctor deems that to be appropriate, there will be a non-rebatable charge of $5.
If you require our staff to fax your prescription there will be a further charge of $2.50 + GST
RESULTS
You will be required to see your doctor for your pathology results. Please ensure you make a repeat booking to follow up.
TELEPHONE CALLS/EMAILS
Phone calls can interrupt consultations and inconvenience patients in the surgery. If your call comes at a difficult time, we may need to ring back. In many cases the reception staff will be able to assist. If you have more than a minor enquiry, it is preferable to make an appointment. If you need to speak with your doctor they will generally return your call at the end of their session. Emails are discouraged for means of communication as we may not always be able to respond promptly.

Our practice is committed to preventative care. We may issue you with a reminder notice from time to time offering you preventative health services appropriate to your care.
