The is an emergency room in the hospital equipped for minor procedures and resuscitation which has teleconference facilities enabling expert advice from the Emergency Physician specialists at Lismore Base Hospital.
When necessary, transfer from UMPS to elsewhere is arranged by ambulance or helicopter retrieval.
