Fees
First consultations are charged at $85.95 (the rebate from Medicare is $55.95). Second (follow up consultations) are charged at $48.05 (the rebate from Medicare is $28.05).
Very long and often complex consultations attract a slightly higher rate at $$107.95 (gap payment $52.00) for the first consultation. Second complex consultation charge is $58.05 (gap payment $30.00).
We do not bulk bill, but Pensioners, Health Care Card holders and Veterans’ Affairs patients are charged at the applicable Medicare rebate rate with a gap fee of $10.00 for the first visit and $5.00 for follow up visits.
Veterans’ Affairs patients may use their entitlement cards at the time of consultation for completion of DVA treatment vouchers.
We ask that all accounts be settled at the time of consultation with cash, personal cheque or credit card. We have EFTPOS facilities that accept Bankcard, Mastercard or Visa cards.
Any patients who are experiencing financial difficulty in paying are encouraged to discuss it with my secretary.
