Kathy Finlay
Graduated in 1973 with a Diploma in
Physiotherapy from Lincoln Institute in
Victoria. After finishing a Bursary with a
regional Victorian public hospital I
stayed on in the Western District until
1981 when I came to Canberra.
After working at the Woden Valley
hospital and then in private practices I
set up my own practice from home in
Yarralumla in 1986. In 1993 I finished
my Post Graduate Diploma in Sports
Physiotherapy and in 1996 the practice
moved to the Deakin Sports Therapy
Centre. In 1998 I applied and became
an APA recognised Sports
Physiotherapist and in 1999 completed
my Masters in Sports Physiotherapy. In
the same year I became a Fellow of the
Australian Sports Medicine Federation.
