Dr C D Lee
Dr Chenault (named after the "Flying
Tiger" in WW II) Doug Lee is a
1980 graduate from the University of
NSW. He has worked in Sydney as
well as various country practices in
Albury, Newcastle, Cloncurry and Mt
Isa.
He believes a GP should help the
patient to harness the healing power
within oneself by adjusting one's
lifestyle and using naturally available
ingredients.
Dr Lee has a keen interest in obstetric
and gynaecology. He was one of a
handlful of GP obstetricians who
delivered babies for his patients at
the Canberra Hospital until mid 1997.
He was mindful of the discomfort
suffered by women during Pap Smears.
As a result, he put on his lateral and
unconventional thinker's hat and
invented the LeeSpec, a disposable
vaginal speculum which eliminates the
risk of cross infection and greatly reduces the
discomfort suffered by women during
Pap smears. After 12 years of hard
work, the LeeSpec finally became
commercially available from 1st December 2000.
He considers it a privilege to be able to
