Dr Marc Hempling

Dr Marc Hempling is a full time GP and co-owner of the Classic Way Family Practice.

Graduating from the University of Manchester in UK in 2000, Dr Hempling then completed his General Practice training in his home town of Brighton & Hove having passed his membership to the Royal College of GP’s in 2005.  He was subsequently awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of GP’s in 2008 and commenced working in Australia in April 2009. 

During his early working life, Dr Hempling spent a great deal of time working in Paediatrics and Emergency Medicine and was awarded a Diploma in Child Health in 2003.  He also received the Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2005.  Dr Hempling enjoys all aspects of General Practice, from the acute emergency presentations to chronic disease management to antenatal care and especially paediatrics.

Dr Hempling is now very much settled into life on the Gold Coast and intends to provide long-term care to his patients and their families for many years to come.  Having come from a family of doctors - and in particular GP’s - he believes strongly in the value of continuity of care and traditional family centred General Practice.

Outside of medicine, Dr Hempling is married with three young children and enjoys his time spent outdoors and being active whenever possible.  He enjoys sports, has travelled widely including working for a charity in Malawi, Africa in 2008/9, which he continues to support and promote (www.rippleafrica.org).
