CAN I BE BULK BILLED?

Doctors spend more than 8 years studying medicine at university

and the cost towards fees and insurance can make it hard for

Doctors to afford to Bulk Bill all patients. Each Doctor is

individual and has had a certain level of experience in medicine

and therefore they make the decision to Bulk Bill or not.

The Doctors at this practice will ONLY Bulk Bill:

Health Care Card Holders, Pension Card Holders, Senior Card Holders, Students with Valid Identification, Children under 16 years and Patients over 65 years.

BULK BILLING is also available with a Medicare Card after 2pm with one of our Doctors*

At Broadbeach General Practice each doctor has a separate

billing system, so it depends which doctor you will see. If you

pay the full fee, you are always able to claim a refund from

Medicare. You can claim the refund directly at the reception

desk into your debit card provided you have both your Medicare

card and debit card handy.

From The 1st of April 2012, the Doctors consultation fees in this practice are as follows:

If your appointment is longer or you have asked for the Doctor to treat more than one condition then you may be subjected to the full fee. Prices are subject to change without notice.
