Nursing Home and Home Visits.
Home visits are available for genuine emergencies.Home visits for other reasons can be arranged with the receptionist for prior to 0830 hrs , 1.00 to 2.00 pm. and after 5.30pm in the evenings.
Confidentiality and Care
This practice is committed to providing comprehensive care to individuals and families.All imformation gathered is strictly confidential.Our Computer is only accessible to those working within the surgery.It is not available to any Government or other agency.We do not sell information to third parties.
Telephone Calls.
Dr Hudson will take telephone calls regarding your health.If he is with a patient he may have to phone you back when it is convienient.It would be appreciated if such calls can be kept to a minimum.Put yourself in the position of the person whose consultation is being interrupted.
After Hours Visits
As Dr Hudson works in excess of 50 hours per week , and has other professional and personal commitments,he prefers,where possible,not to work out of hours.If a problem is urgent Dr Hudson can be contacted on his mobile phone.If a consultation is required the minimum fee for an after hours consultation is $85.00.Payment at the time of consultation is required.We have an arrangement at the Pindara and John Flynn Hospitals for our patients to be cared for afterhours.It this option is too expensive then we would reccommend the Tweed Heads District Hospital.
Repeat Prescriptions.
As no fee is recoverable from Medicare unless a patient is attended to by a Doctor.It is our policy to charge a fee of $5.00 for repeat prescriptions.
If the patient has not been seen within the preceding 3 months it is required that the patient see Dr Hudson for a repeat prescription.
Wheel Chairs and Parking.
Wheel chair access is available at the front and the rear of the building.There is a 6 space car park at the rear of the surgery for use by patients.
